Lockdown 2 – Support for Businesses – SEISS Update!

We sent our blog updating you all on the measures that were announced on Saturday and as mentioned in the blog, the situation feels very fluid. In the last half an hour the Chancellor has announced the following changes to the Self Employment Income Support Grant

  • The sum paid for November has been increased from 40% to 80%
  • The next tranche of the grant will cover the November to January and, as things currently stand, will pay 80% for November and 40% for December and January
  • The grant application process will now open on 30 November, rather than the 14 December which was announced previously

The Smarter Accounting Offices will continue to be staffed but will not be open for face to face meetings. We can always make other arrangements for video conferencing, telephone calls and at times garden meetings if required. If you are dropping off or collecting records via the office, please notify us in advance and wear a facemask.
